WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST CHALLENGING YET REWARDING SET YOU'VE SWAM?

By far the most difficult set I had to do was a set of 20 200s freestyle following a week of three swim meets almost back to back. I had, in the same week, a three day travel meet for my club team, a dual meet for my high school team, and another weekend of an invitational for my high school. Then, the following Wednesday I had to do this particular set which presumptively made me almost cry but, consequentially forced me to my limit. I now look back at that set with fond memories of my team mates cheering each other on, tasting blood while trying to make an interval, and feeling so proud of myself when I finished to the wall.
I’ve always loved swimming and learned how to swim when I was 4 years old. I then swam on a recreational swim team from 5-14 years old and then moved to year-round swimming shortly thereafter. I’ve now been swimming year-round for 2 years and have loved the overall experience. I have found life long friends, a reliable coaching staff, and ultimately a stronger will persevere through struggles. Swimming has taught me how to be a better athlete, friend, and overall better person going into my future and I couldn’t imagine my life without it.

FUN FACT:

I have some odd eating habits such as eating a donut from outside in (the perimeter first then slowly work my way to the center), saving the “prettiest” french fries for last (and getting upset if someone disrupts my intricate procedure), and not talking to anyone for the first 10 minutes of me eating (what can I say, I’m hungry after practice).
