Learning all the little things! With everything that I already do, it’s hard to find time to do some goofy activities that I wish to do. Although I enjoy video games like a lot of teenage boys, I also like to try some small things that I find interesting on YouTube. I like anime, so I learned how to sketch some fundamental figures. I think lock picking is cool, so I’m watching videos to learn the basics. I find dancing romantic, so I taught myself some ballroom. The list goes on.
Sierra wildlife rescue: shift lead, volunteer, doc manager
APAPA (Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association): part of youth leadership team. plan events and talk about career paths, leadership, and cultural awareness.
Meaningful minds club (president): talk about ways to deal with stress and how to manage time in modern day for teenagers like me. 30+ members in 2 years
Japanese club: cultural awareness
Finance club: talk about how to stocks and ways to manage money for when students leave high school and have to get accustomed to the world w/o parents
Student gov: a part of student gov for two years
Tutoring: tutor math and science, students all get grade b or above
WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST CHALLENGING YET REWARDING SET YOU'VE SWAM?
20x50 trying to hit 200 pace. Although this set is more mid-distance work, it really helps with sprints as well in my opinion. It gets really hard around halfway and really mentally challenging about 3/4th off the way through just like a 200. However, since they are still 50’s, and with decent amounts of rest, it still felt more like a sprint set overall.
