WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST CHALLENGING YET REWARDING SET YOU'VE SWAM?
An X Y Z set that included a X: 150 stroke, Y: 50 Goal 2 pace, Z: 25 fast 25 smooth, repeated 6 times. This was challenging as it featured many times to build up to speed while also maintaining race details with little rest. However I enjoyed it for this same reason.
I started swimming on the West Sac Dolphins when I was 8 and swam there for 5 seasons before moving to Folsom. I then did a season for the Folsom Sea Otters in hopes of meeting new people having just moved. Even though I did not want to be swimming at all at the time I did it anyway. If it wasn’t for the people I met that season of rec I would most likely not be swimming to this day. And because of how successful that season was for me, right after it ended that I began to take swim seriously. I decided to make the jump to USA swim for the Sierra Marlins the start of my freshman year. However the first few months I was given a reality check and moved into a group I did not think was right for me. But this only gave me motivation to move up in groups. And as the first trimester went on I progressed rapidly resulting in me getting moved up. From there I have been dropping large amounts of time and excelling in a sport I once thought I’d never do again. And now I am confident I would like to finish out my senior year swimming for both Jesuit and Marlins.
